These Danskos are used inside and out. The first Danskos I ever had were purchased at a resale shop. Though moderately used, I tried them because I had heard of them from my niece and a friend who are both in the health care industry. Initially, I thought these probably would be uncomfortable because of the hardness to the touch of the insoles. NOT!!! After a couple of days wearing them, I noticed that my back no longer hurt me after prolonged walking. I began to wear them every day regardless of how they went with my clothes(luckily for me they were navy blue). This is my first pair of new Danskos and they are every bit as good as the the others. I wouldn't be surprised if they feel even better when they are broken in! I highly recommend these shoes!
